Making your way to Charter Walk Shopping Centre
Chantelle's wishes come true!
During December Charter Walk Shopping Centre invited pupils from local primary schools to send in their Christmas wish lists to Santa, for the chance to win one of their wishes.
With dozens of endearing and imaginative letters received at the shopping centre, choosing a winner was an almost impossible task. The winner, Chantelle Minton aged 9, thoroughly impressed the judges and not only will her wish list become a reality, but she will also receive a prize for her school, Christ the King Primary School, Burnley courtesy of Charter Walk Shopping Centre.
As a special treat Santa visited her school to deliver the good news, in person, ahead of his adventures in the coming week. Head-teacher Mr Graves was extremely excited as Santa arrived surrounded by snow - as Chantelle had told everyone that she had also wished for snow in her wish list so Santa must he must have received her letter!
Chris Gribben, Centre Manager at Charter Walk Shopping Centre said, ‘The response to the competition has been very well received. The entries show such imagination with Chantelle’s entry being chosen as her letter encompasses the true meaning of Christmas by thinking of others before thinking of her own needs. I look forward to visiting and helping the school with Chantelle’s request for sports equipment in the New Year.’
